* University of Maryland College Park Specific Terms And Conditions are listed at the end of the generic Terms and Conditions, which apply to all other products at all other schools.

Communications Opt-In: By submitting your order on MyFridgeRental.com, you are opting-in for us to contact you via any phone number or email address on your account via call, text, and/or email, regarding order confirmations, updates, and account information verification. These communications may also be used during scheduling and completion of service requests or to provide delivery/pickup information. 

 

Fridge/MicroFridge Rental Terms and Conditions

The LESSEE does hereby agree to rent one compact refrigerator from AE Rentals, LLC , the LESSOR, according to the following terms:

1. Intro: AE Rentals, LLC shall, during said agreement, keep and maintain the refrigerator in good working condition, reasonable wear and tear alone excepted. AE Rentals, LLC will, at its own expense, replace or repair any unit should said unit fail to operate normally, except those which are damaged through misuse, negligence, carelessness or irresponsible use by the LESSEE. Lessee will hold harmless AE Rentals, LLC for any damage that may be caused while this unit is in their possession.

2. Delivery: The fridge unit will ALWAYS be delivered directly to your dorm room. The unit is delivered by an “expected” delivery date given to us by your school. We attempt to deliver all units by the expected dates if ordered before that date. However, the listed delivery date for your fridge is never “guaranteed”. We do our best to attempt the delivery at the earliest possible date, but this is never guaranteed due to MicroFridge inventory, room changes, school schedules, etc.

3. Fridge Damage or Loss: The undersigned LESSEE shall reimburse AE Rentals, LLC for any and all loss or damage to said property from any cause whatsoever. If Legal action is required to recover said losses, LESSEE shall reimburse AE Rentals, LLC reasonable attorney fees. Replacement costs are as follows: MicroFridge, $600. Fridge Freezer Combo, $350. 

4. Returning the unit on time, clean, and with all parts:

  • If unit is not returned at the scheduled time at the end of the rental term there will be an additional pick-up charge of $50.00 (includes early termination of agreement)
  • If the unit has to be located because it was moved without updating your customer profile or notifying AE Rentals, LLC, there will be a Search Fee of $50
  • If unit is not returned after 2nd attempt to pick up, you will be billed for the unit (see #3)
  • If the unit is not thoroughly cleaned, defrosted, and dry; ready for storage you will be charged $50 (with the exception of customers who purchased the “Pre-Paid Cleaning Service”
  • If the units is missing any parts (Micro-dish & ring, two shelves, scraper) you will be charged to replace parts (with exception of customers who purchased “All-Inclusive Warranty”)
  • By accepting this agreement you authorize AE Rentals, LLC to charge the credit card you used to rent unit or if you paid by check we can charge your School credit card for any charges shown above.

5. Room Changes/Moving Fridge: Your rental fridge should not be removed from the dorm and room originally listed on the agreement without updating your customer profile or notifying AE Rentals, LLC by email. If the unit needs to be moved or picked up due to early termination of this agreement you will be charged $50.00. If you request that AE Rentals, LLC moves the unit after delivery has been made (room changes) the charge will be $50.00. (You are certainly welcome to relocate the unit to a new room yourself, but you must update your customer profile or notify us by email immediately so we can update your account.) NOTE: We must be notified of a relocation request at least 5 business days ahead of the scheduled move to ensure we can coordinate the relocation when you still have access to your previous assignment.

6. Pick-Up: Details of pickup arrangements will be sent to your email address(es) submitted with your order form. “Academic School Year” rental refers the full school year, meaning the Fall and Spring semester. AE Rentals, LLC will notify the lessee of the proper date & time on which to return the unit. The units must be picked up from your room before you leave the dorm unless otherwise notified. ** We can not adapt to each customer’s end of year schedule, so we must schedule the pick-up date no earlier then two weeks prior to the beginning of exam week (summer-term rental pickup date may be scheduled no more than 5 business days prior to move out). The lessee must return the unit at the specified date and time or contact AE Rentals, LLC IN ADVANCE to make other arrangements. Failure to return the unit on the correct date at the correct time without prior notification will result in the charges shown above. If the lessee fails to receive notification of the return date and time they must email us at info@myfridgerental.com or go to our website at myfridgerental.com to determine the return date. If lessee fails to determine the correct return date and does not return the unit on time, the lessee will be charged for a late pick up and if not returned they will be charged for the unit (see#3). The authorization statement below allows the school let us into your room to Deliver/Pick up the unit. There should be no reason we cannot gain access to the unit in order to avoid the late pick up charge.

•    “By signing my name and/or clicking “Agree to Terms”, I authorize the staff of my school to allow AE Rentals, LLC into my assigned room (as shown on the agreement) to make delivery and or pick up of the unit I have rented from them (as shown on the agreement). My school will not be required to accompany or supervise their activities. I release my school from any damage or loss that may arise in connection with the delivery or pick-up of this unit into or out of my assigned room.”

7. Refund Policy: Any cancellations five days prior to students scheduled arrival or two days prior to scheduled delivery(whichever comes later) will receive a 100% refund of the total cost of the rental. The Delivery/Installation/Pickup Fee is 50% of the total rental cost and is non-refundable within five days of scheduled arrival or one day prior to delivery(whichever comes later). The other 50% of the total rental cost is the unit portion of the rental. The Optional All-inclusive Warranty and Optional Pre-Paid Cleaning Service are not included in the Delivery/Installation/Pickup Fee or the unit portion of the total rental cost, and these optional add-on services are non-refundable after arrival or delivery (whichever comes later). The refund percentages are as follows: 

Academic Year Rentals
  • 100% refund of the unit portion of the rental cost if cancelled by September 15th
  • 75% refund of the unit portion of the rental cost if cancelled by October 15th
  • 50% refund of the unit portion of the rental cost if cancelled by November 15th
  • 0% refund after November 15th
  • Academic year orders can not be changed to a single semester order five days prior to students scheduled arrival or two days prior to scheduled delivery(whichever comes later) 
Fall Single Semester Rentals
  • 100% refund of the unit portion of the rental cost if cancelled by September 15th
  • 50% refund of the unit portion of the rental cost if cancelled by October 15th
  • 0% refund after October 15th 
Spring Single Semester Rentals
  • 100% refund of the unit portion of the rental cost if cancelled by February 15th
  • 50% refund of the unit portion of the rental cost if cancelled by March 15th
  • 0% refund after March 15th

8. All-Inclusive Warranty: The optional “All-Inclusive Warranty” covers damage or loss of any and all parts that come with the MicroFridge or Fridge unit, including damage or loss of the two shelves, three door bars, microwave plate, microwave ring, legs, brackets, and knobs. The “All-Inclusive Warranty” also covers any accidental damage through misuse by the customer, including damage to the fridge body, fridge doors, or microwave. (The replacement cost for a unit that is damaged or broken by the customer can be as much as $500.) All-Inclusive Warranty DOES NOT mean that the unit you receive will have zero dents or dings. The Warranty simply covers you from any further damage to the rental unit. All-Inclusive Warranty DOES NOT cover:

  • Loss or Theft of the MicroFridge (up to $750)
  • Returning the MicroFridge without being cleaned, defrosted, dried, and in storage ready condition ($50)
  • Returning the MicroFridge at a time other than the scheduled pick-up date, including early termination of agreement ($50)
  • Moving the MicroFridge without notifying AE Rentals, LLC prior to pickup ($50)
  • Any other fee not explicitly stated as being covered by the All-Inclusive Warranty

If the MicroFridge is lost or stolen, returned dirty, returned after the scheduled pick-up date, or moved to a new room without notifying AE Rentals, LLC, you will still be responsible for the associated fee even if you purchase All-Inclusive Warranty.

9. Pre-Paid Cleaning Service: The Optional Pre-Paid Cleaning Service ensures that the rental does not have to be returned in the original delivered/storage ready condition. Even with the pre-paid cleaning service all contents must still be removed, with the rental unplugged, defrosted, DRIED, and the fridge and freezer door left open. No additional cleaning is required if these conditions are met. Any rentals that are picked up and still have personal contents and/or are not properly unplugged, defrosted, and DRY will receive an additional charge (up to $50) even if you purchased the pre-paid cleaning service. 

10. Delivery/Installation/Pick Up (DIP Fee): The DIP fee is included in the total rental cost and is equal to 50% of the total rental charge. This is non-refundable within five days prior to students scheduled arrival or one day prior to scheduled delivery(whichever comes later).;

11. I understand the use of this product is undertaken at my personal risk. I assume all risk whatsoever of personal injury, or death, whether of myself, or others, as well as property damage resulting from the use of this product. I further agree to release and hold Lessor, and my education institution harmless from any and all liability for any claims, demands, injuries, actions or causes of action, whatsoever, arising out of the use of this product. 

Digital-LockBox Terms and Conditions:

The LESSEE does hereby agree to rent one Digital-LockBox from AE Rentals, LLC , the LESSOR, according to the following terms:

1. Intro: AE Rentals, LLC shall, during said agreement, keep and maintain the Digital-LockBox in good working condition, reasonable wear and tear alone excepted. AE Rentals, LLC will, at its own expense, replace or repair any unit should said unit fail to operate normally, except those which are damaged through misuse, negligence, carelessness or irresponsible use by the LESSEE. Lessee will hold harmless AE Rentals, LLC for any damage that may be caused while this unit is in their possession.

2. Delivery: The LockBox unit will ALWAYS be delivered directly to your dorm room. The unit is delivered by an “expected” delivery date given to us by your school. We attempt to deliver all units by the expected dates if ordered before that date. However, the listed delivery date for your LockBox is never “guaranteed”. We do our best to attempt the delivery at the earliest possible date, but this is never guaranteed due to LockBox inventory, room changes, school schedules, etc.

3. LockBox Damage or Loss: The undersigned LESSEE shall reimburse AE Rentals, LLC for any and all loss or damage to said property from any cause whatsoever. If Legal action is required to recover said losses, LESSEE shall reimburse AE Rentals, LLC reasonable attorney fees. Replacement costs are as follows: LockBox- $199

4. Returning the unit on time, clean, and with all parts:

  • If unit is not returned at the scheduled time there will be a pick-up charge of $50.00 (includes early termination of agreement)
  • If unit is returned without included cable lock there will be a fee of $20
  • If the unit has to be located because it was moved without updating your customer profile or notifying AE Rentals, LLC, there will be a Search Fee of $50
  • If unit is not returned after 2nd attempt to pick up, you will be billed for the unit (see #3)
  • By signing this agreement you authorize AE Rentals, LLC to charge the credit card you used to rent unit or if you paid by check we can charge your School credit card for any charges shown above.

8. All-Inclusive Warranty: The “All-Inclusive Warranty” offered by MyFridgeRental.com (AE Rentals, LLC) covers damage or loss of any and all parts that come with the LockBox or LockBox unit, including damage or loss of the shelf, mat, and cable lock. The “All-Inclusive Warranty” also covers any accidental damage through misuse by the customer, including damage to the LockBox body, LockBox doors, buttons or digital screen. (The replacement cost for a unit that is damaged or broken by the customer is $199) All-Inclusive Warranty DOES NOT mean that the unit you receive will have zero dents or dings. The Warranty simply covers you from any further damage to the rental unit. All-Inclusive Warranty DOES NOT cover:

  • Lose or Theft of the LockBox Unit ($199)
  • Returning the LockBox at a time other than the scheduled pick-up date, including early termination of agreement ($50)
  • Moving the LockBox without notifying AE Rentals, LLC ($50)
  • Any other fee not explicitly stated as being covered by the All-Inclusive Warranty

If the LockBox is lost or stolen, returned after the scheduled pick-up date, or moved to a new room without notifying AE Rentals, LLC, you will still be responsible for the associated fee even if you purchase All-Inclusive Warranty.

Bed Loft Terms and Conditions:

The LESSEE does hereby agree to rent one Bed Loft from AE Rentals, LLC , the LESSOR, according to the following terms:

1. Intro: AE Rentals, LLC shall, during said agreement, keep and maintain the Bed Loft in good working condition, reasonable wear and tear alone excepted. AE Rentals, LLC will, at its own expense, replace or repair any unit should said unit fail to operate normally, except those which are damaged through misuse, negligence, carelessness or irresponsible use by the LESSEE.

2. Delivery: The Bed Loft unit will ALWAYS be delivered directly to your dorm room and installed. The unit is delivered by an “expected” delivery date given to us by your school. We attempt to deliver and install all units by the expected dates if ordered before July 31st. We do our best to attempt the delivery at the earliest possible date, but this is never guaranteed due to Bed Loft inventory, room changes, school schedules, etc.

3. Bed Loft Damage or Loss: The undersigned LESSEE shall reimburse AE Rentals, LLC for any and all loss or damage to said property from any cause whatsoever. If Legal action is required to recover said losses, LESSEE shall reimburse AE Rentals, LLC reasonable attorney fees. Replacement costs are as follows: Bed Loft – $300

4. Returning the unit on time with all parts:

  • If unit is not returned at the scheduled time there will be a pick-up charge of $50.00 (includes early termination of agreement)
  • If the unit has to be located because it was moved without updating your customer profile or notifying AE Rentals, LLC, there will be a Search Fee of $50
  • If unit is not returned after 2nd attempt to pick up, you will be billed for the unit (see #3)
  • By signing this agreement you authorize AE Rentals, LLC to charge the credit card you used to rent unit or if you paid by check we can charge your School credit card for any charges shown above.

If the unit needs to be moved or picked up due to early termination of this agreement you will be charged $50.00. If you request that AE Rentals, LLC moves the unit after delivery has been made (room changes) the charge will be $50.00.

6. Pick-Up: Details of pickup arrangements will be sent to your email address(es) submitted with your order form. “Academic School Year” rental refers the full school year, meaning the Fall and Spring semester. AE Rentals, LLC will notify the lessee of the proper date & time on which to return the unit. 7. Any cancellations five days prior to students scheduled arrival or two days prior to scheduled delivery(whichever comes later) will receive a 100% refund of the total cost of the rental. After delivery/installation there are no refunds for a Bed Loft cancellation.

8. I understand the use of this LOFT and/or safety rail is undertaken at my personal risk. I assume all risk whatsoever of personal injury, or death, whether of myself, or others, as well as property damage resulting from the use of this LOFT and/or safety rail. I further agree to release and hold Lessor, and my education institution harmless from any and all liability for any claims, demands, injuries, actions or causes of action, whatsoever, arising out of the use of this LOFT and/or safety rail device. I agree the LOFT is for my own personal use and is not designed to support two or more persons

9. Delivery/Installation/Pick Up (DIP Fee): The DIP fee is included in the total rental cost and is equal to 50% of the total rental charge. This is non-refundable five days prior to students scheduled arrival or two days prior to scheduled delivery(whichever comes later) will receive a 100% refund of the total cost of the rental.

University of Maryland, College Park Fridge Rental Terms and Conditions

AE Rentals, LLC will, at its own expense, replace or repair any unit should said unit fail to operate normally, except those which are damaged through misuse, negligence, carelessness or irresponsible use by the LESSEE. Lessee will hold harmless AE Rentals, LLC for any damage that may be caused while this unit is in their possession.

If the lessee fails to receive notification of the return date and time they must email us at info@myfridgerental.com or go to our website atmyfridgerental.com and check your customer profile to determine the return date. If lessee fails to determine the correct return date and does not return the unit on time, the lessee will be charged for a late pick up and if not returned they will be charged for the unit (see#3). The authorization statement below allows the school let us into your room to Deliver/Pick up the unit. There should be no reason we cannot gain access to the unit in order to avoid the late pick up charge.

The other 50% of the total rental cost is the unit portion of the rental. The Optional All-inclusive Warranty and Optional Pre-Paid Cleaning Service are not included in the Delivery/Installation/Pickup Fee or the unit portion of the total rental cost, and these optional add-on services are non-refundable after arrival or delivery(whichever comes later).   • Academic year orders can not be changed to a single semester order after student arrival, except for residents who purchased a full year MicroFridge rental and are moving to new residence halls where MicroFridges are prohibited, they will receive a pro-rated refund based on the remaining length of their contract. 
Fall Semester Rentals
  • 100% refund of the unit portion of the rental cost if cancelled by September 15th
  • 50% refund of the unit portion of the rental cost if cancelled by October 15th
  • 0% refund after October 15th 
Spring Single Semester Rentals
  • 100% refund of the unit portion of the rental cost if cancelled by February 15th

8. All-Inclusive Warranty: The “All-Inclusive Warranty” offered by MyFridgeRental.com (AE Rentals, LLC) covers damage or loss of any and all parts that come with the MicroFridge or Fridge unit, including damage or loss of the two shelves, three door bars, microwave plate, microwave ring, legs, brackets, and knobs. The “All-Inclusive Warranty” also covers any accidental damage through misuse by the customer, including damage to the fridge body, fridge doors, or microwave. (The replacement cost for a unit that is damaged or broken by the customer can be as much as $500.) All-Inclusive Warranty DOES NOT mean that the unit you receive will have zero dents or dings. The Warranty simply covers you from any further damage to the rental unit. All-Inclusive Warranty DOES NOT cover:

 

 

  • Loss or Theft of the MicroFridge (up to $750)
  • Returning the MicroFridge without being cleaned, defrosted, dried, and in storage ready condition ($50)
  • Returning the MicroFridge at a time other than the scheduled pick-up date, including early termination of agreement ($50)
  • Moving the MicroFridge without notifying AE Rentals, LLC ($50)
  • Any other fee not explicitly stated as being covered by the All-Inclusive Warranty
9. Pre-Paid Cleaning Service: The Optional Pre-Paid Cleaning Service ensures that the rental does not have to be returned in the original delivered/storage ready condition. Even with the pre-paid cleaning service all contents must still be removed, with the rental unplugged, defrosted, DRIED, and the fridge and freezer door left open. No additional cleaning is required if these conditions are met. Any rentals that are picked up and still have personal contents and/or are not properly unplugged, defrosted, and DRY will receive an additional charge (up to $50) even if you purchased the pre-paid cleaning service. 

10. Delivery/Installation/Pick Up (DIP Fee): The DIP fee is included in the total rental cost and is equal to 50% of the total rental charge. This is non-refundable five days prior to students scheduled arrival or one day prior to scheduled delivery(whichever comes later).

11. I understand the use of this product is undertaken at my personal risk. I assume all risk whatsoever of personal injury, or death, whether of myself, or others, as well as property damage resulting from the use of this product. I further agree to release and hold Lessor, and my education institution harmless from any and all liability for any claims, demands, injuries, actions or causes of action, whatsoever, arising out of the use of this product. Based on our agreements with the Universities we serve, we are able to provide significant discounts compared to our standard Month to Month rental rates.  

*Note: “Example MF Rental at Universities” vs. “Example Month to Month Rental” are provided for demonstration purposes only to conceptualize pricing differences and conceptualize the time in which the value of the university rental is observed. University Rentals vary in price from campus to campus based on agreements with the school, and Month to Month rentals are quoted on a per customer basis, not quoted at the prices listed below.
